No trip is complete without the bathrobe and chocolates and remote control. I posed for this under the command of my husband. He wants you to know that I don't always work hard.
While Mark was working one day, I went to the Texas Art Teachers Convention--yup, I just walked in and looked at some of the displays made by students. This was one of the styrofoam heads decorated according to the artist's desire. There were a couple hundred of these. Was really fun.
This is at the shopping mall on the River Walk. The River Walk is about 3 miles long, and you can take this great little boat ride and the guide tells you lots of interesting things about sites along the way. We went at night when there were lights in every tree and it was very beautiful.
Here's Mark getting prickled by a prickly cactus in the courtyard of the Alamo.
Here we are at the Alamo. It was a big celebration with Veteran's Day coming up. There were servicemen and vets everywhere. This is where Davey Crockett died.
Here's the second mission we visited. Out here in the courtyard is where the people who lived here cooked, and played and worked.
Here is the chapel ready for a wedding captured from the front doors looking in.
This is inside the chapel in one of the two missions we visited. There was going to be a wedding held in here shortly.
This is a mission in San Antonio, TX. That's me in the striped shirt to the right. No, that's not Mark in the blue shirt. There are five missions close together in the San Antonio area. One of those missions is the Alamo.
