All the Magical Colors of the Magic Kingdom

While we were waiting for the Electric Light Parade at the Magic Kingdom Monday night, we enjoyed the changing light colors on the castle. It was really beautiful!

By Jiminy!

I love Jiminy Cricket. He's such a do-good. He's cheerful and happy and always watching out for Pinocchio to make stupid choices--and correct him. I like to think of the Holy Ghost as my little Jiminy Cricket. I guess that's why I like him so much--

Jessie and Woody and us

Who doesn't love Toy Story? These two were worth the wait in the line to see. Aren't they cute? OK, we're all cute.

My elephantitis

OK, I was hanging out with the elephants at Animal Kingdom and I began to get cankles just like them.....really now, on the 6th day of our pavement pounding parading in the parks, my left ankle swelled up. As you can see, it looks pretty awful. It didn't really hurt too much, but my skin did fold over my sandal straps--that was a little unnerving. I actually think this picture portrays the situation worse than it really was. After getting into an air conditioned hotel room, propping up my foot for the night and resting, I was 90% perfect in the morning. I'm good as ever now. Without any sign of elephantitis.

My favorite princess

This is my favorite Disney Princess. When I was a little girl in Los Angeles, and Disneyland so close to where we lived, I dreamt of being Snow White one day. Unfortunately, my dreams never came true in that regard, as we moved to Utah instead.

The Food!

Our Disney adventures in culinary delights did not disappoint. Here is a little Napolean from Epcot's French Patisserie.

Here's a little Strawberry Tart, so light and refreshing.

This is Mark's Tuna with Toasted Pearl Pasta from the restaurant "Jiko", meaning The Cooking Place, at the Animal Kingdom Resort.

There's a little Siam in all of us!

Just another wacky picture of Mark and myself doing a little Siam Swing at Animal Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom getaway

In the dinosaur play area, I couldn't resist going for a ride in this hot red convertable!

If it's fine dining you request, be our guest!

We went to Disney World last week and I loved the Beauty and the Beast show, from which this little chefs scene comes. My other favorite show was the Lion King which was just as much fun as the Broadway show, only shorter. I loved the gymnastic monkeys...those guys are so fit and flexible! I didn't take a photo of them though.

At the Ice Cream Shop

I got to hold Thanny-Bananny at the Clifton Ice Cream Shop. What a fun place, and I truly felt like a Grandma here...weird, but it was the best feeling. Like this is the way life is supposed to be...

Battle of the Bishop @ Girls' Camp

Bishop Rowberry is getting the bash with wiggly tubes. He did come out alright though....he's tough.

Enjoying homemade ice cream sandwiches

For Bishop's Night, Friday, July 2, I made homemade ice cream sandwiches with Breyer's Strawberry ice cream and giant homemade snickerdoodle cookies. I was rewarded with lots of love and happy faces!
