Easter Sunday at the Cherry's Home

In the afternoon, we went to the Cherry's home to celebrate Easter with a beautiful dinner and fine company.
Jon Cherry was bedecked in a striking aqua stripe Easter jelly bean polo and Janet wore a purple jelly bean top in her Easter coordination efforts. Each of the boys wore matching Hawaiian shirts and khaki knee-length shorts. The Rowberrys' had no such fine adornments but their individual personalities and radiant seasonal joy added immensely to the occasion.

This is the new home of The Awakening at National Harbor; I call it "Man in the Sand".

Mark has just finished his purchase at the Peeps Store (little Easter goodies await)

National Harbor--where do you want to go?

The Gaylord Hotel

This the interior of the Gaylord Hotel. It was like a little town within the hotel. Very impressive. I'd like to stay here some time!

Going down the
steps were these amazing mosaics about life along the waterfront. They were stunning and beautiful and so colorful!

These mosaics were outside, not to be confused with being part of the hotel.

National Harbor

On Friday, March 19, 2010, Mark and I drove to National Harbor. I really wanted to see the Peeps (yes marshmallow peeps) shop, the waterfront where they moved THE AWAKENING (from the Potomac River area, DC), and the fancy hotel. We had lunch at McCormack and Schmicks which was wonderful! It was the first day that really felt like spring and we had a wonderful time.

This is Lexy's newest dress. It's a black and white floral cotton. She wears it with footless tights and a black cartigan. She has belt loops into which she can accent the dress with a lime green or red ribbon.
