Mark and I went to Girls Camp last night at Prince William Forest Park--only 20 minutes drive away. It was so hot and muggy. The air was thick as steam in a sauna. We played games, talked about testimonies, and danced like Michael Jackson--in tribute of course. We had a good dinner there (camp is so much better than when I was a girl), and then this crazy storm moved in!
Lightening bedazzled the sky, thunder rocked, and raindrops heavily burdened dropped on the cabin timbers. It was a much better show than the artificial lighting at the Haunted Mansion by far! Each ward had a church song, and with lights off, and flashlights lit and glowsticks popped into activity, beautiful music wafted throughout the dining hall from one ward's choir to the next. At 10:00, the girls were urged to quickly return to their cabins for the night until the storm passed.
Lexy comes home today.

All together now!

Ward Memorial Day PIcnic-Lake Ridge Park

A little food

A little fun and a little miracle! The rain stopped just as the party started, and started after we finished!

Memorial Day at Arlington Cemetery

Rows and Rows of markers

The Eternal Flame--John F. Kennedy

We place roses at the grave markers that have some significance to us--a common name, a birthday, etc.

Here's Lexy finding a special place.
