Snowmageddon, February 2010

This is the storm that closed the National Government for 4 days.
This is the storm that kept kids from going to school 7 days.
This is the storm that shut down the airports.
This is the storm that was worth waiting for!
We loved it!

February 14--A Day for Love and Fudge! Mark gave Lexy and I each a lovely card. Then, there was the full pound of Fudgey-Wudgey Fudge and was it good! Between the 3 of us, I think we finished it in 4 days.

Snowy Morning

It was a beautiful snowy morning today. We had about 4 inches last night. Of course school was cancelled, much to Lexy's delight! We went for a walk in the backyard and took a few pictures. It was so lovely for a little while, until the sun melted it off the tree branches.

Terra Cotta Warrior and Us

Last month, Mark and I went to the National Geographic Museum in Washington DC. We got to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors Exhibition from China. It was amazing. They wouldn't let us take any pictures throughout the display, but this fellow was a copy and we got a photo with him.

Another week

Happy Monday Loyal Blog People!
I've been working on primary stuff this morning and decided to pull up my outdated blog and let you know what I've been doing!
I changed a burnt-out light bulb this morning outside my garage, swept the garage on Mark's side, and swept the porch. I pulled off the white Christmas twinkle lights that were in the bushes (now that we have a warm day, albeit a wet one).

I went to a baby shower on Saturday for a friend in our ward. I found a cute Mary Engelbreit baby's first year calendar for her and gave her two crochet-edge burp cloths. It was mainly a diaper shower, so my present was a bit more liberal.

Mark and I went to lunch together Friday. It was his flex day. We went to Macaroni Grill. I could only eat half my lunch, so guess what I had for dinner too?

I've been sewing on scout patches for a friend. She has two cub scouts and one brownie. She has twin babies too, that's why I'm sewing on the patches for her.

I finished reading The Host, by Stephenie Meyer Saturday. It took me 3 months, but only because I often read a book like one who licks lollipops rather than crunches them.

Well, I need to exercise this morning and get busy. Thanks for reading!
