National Cathedral Washington DC

I've wanted to visit the National Cathedral in Washington DC for a long time. It is huge and beautiful! It had such interesting architecture. I especially like the designs of differing themes on these posts outside one courtyard.

What do you think those characters represent on the outside of the National Cathedral? Just wondered. They are very creative.

These were carvings of different historic events in our country...in this case, these may have been the native americans.
